GUITAR – Instrument Information

My child already has a suitable guitar.
I require further assistance on selecting an instrument.

Students will need their own instrument for lessons and to practice at home. A 3/4 size nylon strung Spanish/Classical Guitar (Acoustic) is recommended to start with. Some of you may already have a suitable instrument but for those who don’t the ‘Jose Ferrer’ 3/4 size classical guitar is ideal which usually comes with a guitar ‘gig bag’ and is widely available from music shops or online.

DRUMS – Instrument Information

My child already has a suitable drum kit.
I require further assistance on selecting an instrument.

A drum kit is not strictly necessary to begin with, however every student should have their own practice pad, sticks and metronome for practice at home. A tabletop drum kit, such as the vision 6, available from gear4music is an ideal starter drum kit whilst you find out if your kids are going to stick with it. Size 7A drum sticks are ideal for beginners.
